Sign up for our weekly newsletter and be the star of your next independent film conversation!
After you see a really good movie, all you want to do is talk about it, right? What if your conversation could be with the filmmakers themselves? Our friends at Heineken can help make that happen.
Back again for another year, the Heineken Green Room Sessions are free events that will spotlight select TFF 2014 films immediately after they have screened. After each show, audiences will have the unique opportunity to mingle and talk with the creative people (directors, actors, producers and assorted crew members) behind the film in a nearby venue, which will be announced directly after the screening. Only at TFF can you experience a post-screening Q&A with fellow movie lovers in an intimate environment with a cold Heineken in your hand.
This year, Heineken Green Room Sessions will include two very funny movies: Summer of Blood and Bachelor Weekend. So how can you take part in all the fun? Just bring along your ticket stub from the corresponding TFF 2014 screening and your ID. As with most great things in life, you must be 21 or over to attend. We hope to see you there!
Watch out—there’s a new Vampire in Brooklyn (and it’s not Eddie Murphy!). Full of self-effacing humor, wit and gore, Summer of Blood follows Eric (Onur Tukel) as a sardonic, emotionally- stunted New Yorker on the verge of a mid-life crisis. As he struggles to decide whether to commit to his girlfriend, he is bitten by a vampire and becomes one himself. With these new powers (and blood lust), Eric is finally able to take charge of his life. Needless to say, his impact on the NYC dating scene is hilarious.
Also starring Anna Margaret Hollyman and Alex Karpovsky, Summer of Blood will have you laughing and screaming for more. Writer/director/ star Onur Tukel will be at the Heineken Green Room Series for a riveting discussion and a cold Heineken.

No doubt a rousing screening of Bachelor Weekend will be perfectly complemented by a trip to the Heineken Green Room Series after the show. Set in Ireland, this R-rated slapstick comedy follows a mild mannered group of friends whose Bachelor party is disrupted when the groom’s soon-to-be brother-in-law (nicknamed “The Machine”) crashes the party and challenges their masculinity. As the film explores male bonding in the most extreme of circumstances, you’ll never think of “the great outdoors” in the same way again.
Starring Andrew Scott, Hugh O'Conor, Peter McDonald, Brian Gleeson, Bachelor Weekend’s is a trip to remember. Writer/director John Butler will be at the Heineken Green Room Series for a riveting discussion and a cold Heineken.
Hungry for more? The Heinken Green Room Series is happy to offer Festival audiences another chance to discuss Summer of Blood with writer/director/ star Onur Tukel over a cold Heineken. So whether you missed it the first time or just have lingering questions about the odd Vampire threesome (or two), don't be afraid to let your voice be heard!
