Last year, Sean Dunne won Best New Documentary Director here at the Tribeca Film Festival for his documentary Oxyana. Using intimate portraits of residents, Oxyana told the story of a community ravaged by prescription drugs. Now, Dunne embarks on a new documentary about women who perform sexual acts on live webcams. He's calling this new film Cam Girlz.
Because of your support, the women will be able to tell their stories without judgment and without someone else speaking for them. As Dunne says, "crowdfunding will enable us to make the film we want to make and tell the story we want to tell." He hopes to show what goes on outside the limited view of the webcam, without discounting its presence.
At time of writing, Cam Girlz has 15 days to raise $38,000, so show your support now!
