In this upbeat animated short, an uptight business man is finding it hard to get out of his bed in the morning. After missing his bus to work one day, the disgruntled businessman happens upon a baby bird who had fallen out of the nest. The businessman teaches the fallen baby how to fly, and in the process he discovers how to break out of his own shell and live. First Flight's simple yet heartfelt message coupled with its lovable characters makes it a soaring delight for all ages.

Born and raised in Toronto, Cameron Hood has worked as an animator for DreamWorks since 1997, and contributed to The Prince of Egypt, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Shark Tale, among other films. He teaches at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects.
After a short stint directing music videos, Toronto native Kyle Jefferson began his career at DreamWorks as a writer and animator, working on Shrek, Sinbad, and Shark Tale. He teaches at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects.
