In this upbeat animated short, an uptight business man is finding it hard to get out of his bed in the morning. After missing his bus to work one day, the disgruntled businessman happens upon a baby bird who had fallen out of the nest. The businessman teaches the fallen baby how to fly, and in the process he discovers how to break out of his own shell and live. First Flight's simple yet heartfelt message coupled with its lovable characters makes it a soaring delight for all ages.

About the Director(s)
Born and raised in Toronto, Cameron Hood has worked as an animator for DreamWorks since 1997, and contributed to The Prince of Egypt, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Shark Tale, among other films. He teaches at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects. After a short stint directing music videos, Toronto native Kyle Jefferson began his career at DreamWorks as a writer and animator, working on Shrek, Sinbad, and Shark Tale. He teaches at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects.

RUSH SALES POLICY

When tickets for a screening or event are no longer available, they will be listed as RUSH. The Rush system functions as a stand-by line that will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Admittance is based on availability and will begin 15 minutes prior to program start time. Rush Tickets are the same price as advance tickets payable upon entry. There is a limit of one Rush Ticket per person.
