A girl ostensibly trying to save her mother might be saving much more in this film set in a time during which all borders of ethnic, religious, and cultural differences are being questioned. Rain Is Falling takes a look into a foreign world and encourages a dialogue between the worlds of strangers.

About the Director(s)
Holger Ernst is a German-born filmmaker whose work includes Kleine Fische (Best Short, Montreal Film Festival; Golden Herkules Rpize, Hessen Filmprize), Good Film Good (German Filmprize 2004, Winner of Commercial Competition). Das Leben Geht Weiter won the 2000 Hessen Prize for Best Screenplay and his film Familie-Demontage Einer Seele was proposed for the German Short Film Prize in 2004. In the United States, Holger has worked for the Palm Beach Post.
